Papers & Journals

The Hall Eye Center has published over 90 papers in scientific, peer reviewed, medical journals. Several of these papers have been the seminal paper for a particular surgical procedure. We published the classification and treatment of bilateral superior oblique muscle palsies. This paper has helped in the treatment of this disorder for children throughout the world. Our seminal paper on the immediate probing of acute dacryocystitis in newborn has helped hundreds of newborns with this entity. By publishing our results, we have helped not only the patients in our practice but also children throughout this country and well as in Asia and Europe.

  • Our paper on “Unusual Presentations of Horner Syndrome” published in the Archives of Ophthalmology has made a significant contribution to understanding the complexities of this disease. This paper has already become one of the standard resources on this topic.
  • Dr. Zane Pollard has written a medical book chapter on “Ocular Toxocara Infections” which is scheduled for publication.
  • Dr. Pollard has been selected to review papers submitted for publication to the following journals: Archives of Ophthalmology, American Journal of Ophthalmology, Journal of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, Binocular Vision Quarterly, and Journal of the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus.
